Jamilah
Jamilah graduated with a 500 hour certificate from the Michigan Institute of Healing Arts & Sciences in 2008. Since that time she has completed over 400 hours of continuing education with world-renowned experts from the Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy, John F. Barnes MyoFascial Release Approach, The Manual Lymph Drainage Institute International, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release, RockTape and Amber Davies of the
Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. Other certifications include Acces Bars, Pillosage Thermal Connective Tissue Therapy, Reiki, acupressure, aromatherapy, taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and cupping. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Jamilah opened A Healing Touch in 2010 so that she would have the time and space she needed to pursue her passion for educating clients in self-care.
In 2015, after decades of health struggles, Jamilah was finally diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease and her life has flourished since undergoing treatment. Her rocky healing journey greatly informs her massage practice and has shaped her into a caring, compassionate healing artist who will truly listen to you as you craft your own path to wellness. Her bodywork style is a unique blend of techniques that address not only the muscles but the connective tissue, lymphatics, nervous system and energetic pathways of the body as well. She will take time to educate you on how you can continue your healing journey at home.
Jamilah offers a Signature Session that incorporates all of her knowledge into treating both your long and short-term goals in addition to her CranioSacral, MyoFascial Release, Trigger Point, Manual Lymph Drainage, Scar Tissue Release or Access Bars appointments. Erin Jewell
Erin is a Reiki Master in the Usui tradition. She offers both in-office and distance sessions.
She has been a coach, ESL teacher, regional sales manager, professor, yoga instructor, life coach, daughter/sister/wife/mother, business owner, poet, and more. In addition to be attuned to Master level in Usui reiki, she holds a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in creative writing, but maintains her status as a perpetual student, with the eye of an educator, strong intuition, a well developed voice, and a talent for divination.
With a deep belief in the divine and a little bit of irreverence, Erin uses reiki as a way to help others move through obstacles and blockages that they certainly feel but can't necessarily see or name.
